小茉莉有点难过，但她不放弃，积极想办法。
小茉莉伸长左手，伸长右手，伸长双手，都拿不到小红书。
近来都在忙着module2，昨天刚完成最后一张图的创作。这回我选择以一组图画，来叙述一段很简单的小故事。最大的挑战是图与图之间的连贯，必须能让读者通过画面读懂故事。英文书写不是我的强项，所以我放弃文字，让图说话。有趣的是，故事虽然没文字，在创作人物时，我在文件档案上却给小女孩取名叫Molly，因为和茉莉谐音，因为小女孩是东方人。
故事以小茉莉初次踏入图书馆开始，一本小红书吸引了她的目光……

I’m now terribly busy working on my module 2 which is about sequential images, as such I might not be able to update my blog for quite a while. Just to respond to a previous comment, I normally work on my laptop directly using corel painter software. Presently, I’m exploring PS as well, some of the recent works were done on both platforms. I’m surprise that 伟言耸听 is still attracting “eyeballs”, those illustrations were my earlier digital drawings, not very polished I’m afraid. My most recent published works are “Drax the Dragon”, a children’s book launched around March this year, and another Chinese title by 戴晨志 reprinted by Popular, should be on-shelf around Dec( the illustrations are selected from my old blog’s drawings). Thanks for the support!

Module 2开始了，开始感到与时间赛跑的压力。与Module 1的惬意写生不同，这回是必须自己构思一组连贯性的画面，称为sequential images，是画图画书的一种训练，通过图画来表达内部的连续逻辑，可以是叙述性的narrative，或主题性的thematic。我们只有约6周时间，必须构思、草稿、讨论、修改，并且创作完稿，真正投入其中，才发觉6周根本不够。虽然还没有正式masters project，但已经感觉像是在为“论文”拼搏，只是不是靠文字而是图画，一点都不轻松。I’m trying to gear into action; I’m still at the warming up phase, hopefully can find my momentum real soon. Gone is now my “holidays”, I can foresee myself secluded within my little room working fanatically before my laptop. Wish me luck.

这幅小图的背景，是我之前为第一个module所画的其中一份作业。用photoshop加工后，效果还不错。图中的树，树叶是捡回来的，扫描进电脑，再一片一片复制拼凑，花了不少时间。至于小图的人物情节，是完成了背景后，才添加的。
